  • University College Birmingham is an English university located in Birmingham. Along with Newman University, it was granted full university status in 2012. In the 2022 WhatUni Student Choice Awards, the University was named 'The University of the Year,' as well as first in the 'Student Support' category. 
  • The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in both practical and scholarly subjects and specializes in hospitality and culinary arts, hairdressing and beauty, tourism, commercial enterprise, marketing, finance, business management, accounting, events management, sports management, and medicine and therapy, to name a few.
  • For different courses, the average cost of attendance for international and domestic students may differ. Scholarships, work-study, and other forms of financial aid are available to students at the University. In addition, the institution has a Career Planning Service team that assists students in developing a CV and locating employment, whether it be after graduation, part-time work, summer work, or an internship.
  • The University maintains residence halls at The Maltings and Cambrian Hall, which are close to Broad Street, the city's central entertainment area, and provide room for 872 students. A sports hall, a shop, and Joshuas are also part of the new Maltings development.
  • Tuition fees for undergraduate international students start at £13,500, bachelor's course at £15,000, and master's course at £14,500.

  • Oakley Court, which houses 213 students, is made up of 21 unique purpose-built flats arranged around a lovely planted courtyard

 

2. Bournbrook

 

  • Bournbrook is a contemporary housing complex that opened its doors in 2017. It is home to 178 students living in chic en-suite accommodations

 

3. Shackleton (Shared)

 

  • Shackleton, which houses 350 students in the centre of Vale Village, provides mostly catered housing through the Meal Plan

 

4. Chamberlain

 

  • One of the newest residences, Chamberlain, houses 702 students and is situated at the entrance to the Vale with a view of the lake

 

5. Aitken

 

  • Aitken consists of 23 flats that provide self-catered housing on a 42-week contract for 147 students in total

 

6. Green Community

 

  • The Green Community, located in Tennis Court's "Centre Court" block, provides a distinctive living option to all undergraduates

 

7. Tennis Court

 

  • Tennis Court has 137 units with shared bathrooms that can house 694 students in self-catered housing

 

8. Maple Bank

 

  • 435 students are housed in 87 flats at Maple Bank, which is located at the top of Vale Village

1. The Spinney

 

  • This residence hall can accommodate 104 postgraduate students in separate study bedrooms

 

2. Jarratt Hall

 

  • Many of the postgraduate students are housed in Jarratt Hall, which is located in Selly Oak Village

 

3. Ashcroft

 

  • In lush grounds close to the Metchley athletic fields, Ashcroft is located in the centre of Pritchatts Park

The university is a great place to study. I have been studying at the University College Birmingham for some time now and I love it! The university offers programs that are very interesting, especially the language courses. It's also a very diverse community where you can make friends from all over the world and learn new things about their culture as well.

I have been to University College Birmingham, and it is a great place. The campus is very nice and all the buildings are really big. There's lots of good food on campus as well. I think UCB has some of the best resources for students looking to get into their first job after graduation, whether it be internships or part-time jobs during school terms/holidays/breaks etc.

I can't say enough good things about the university. The people are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They take their time with you during your visit so that you feel comfortable as soon as possible. The campus is beautiful, clean and spacious; it's a perfect place for students who want to study in an environment where they will be treated like royalty!
