  • The University of Surrey is a public research university located in Guildford, England. Formerly known as the Battersea College of Technology, it gained its university status and was renamed in 1966. 
  • The university is renowned as a pioneer in the field of mobile and satellite communications technology, with an ongoing project helping develop 5G communication platforms.

ICSE/CBSE, West Bengal board, or another recognised state exam board completed standard XII with at least 50% overall or greater depending on the course.

In order to be considered for a programme that needs a UK 2:1, the applicant must score at least 60% or 65 percent.
An applicant must score at least 55 percent or 60 percent for a course that requires a UK 2:2.
To be eligible for a scholarship for a programme that requires a UK first-class, the applicant must score at least 65 percent or 70%.
Applicants who do not meet the prerequisites can apply to the foundational programme (for undergraduates) or the Pre-masters Preparation Program (for Master's courses). After completing the programme, students can enrol in their desired course.

IELTS is not required for Indians to enrol in an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course at the University of Surrey.
The institution accepts 70 percent of ISC/CBSE 12th board exam English and 80 percent of the majority of Indian state boards' 12th board exam English.

According to HESA 2018, around 94 percent of graduates from the University of Surrey are employed within six months after graduation.

On Campus Accommodation

Surrey University has about 5,000 rooms of various varieties to suit all budgets.
Except for the studio apartments (band F) in Manor Park, all halls of residence at Surrey are self-catering with communal kitchen facilities. All rooms have broadband service and personal items insurance included in the price.
Rooms are categorised from A to E based on pricing and amenities.
Family apartments, staff rooms, and visiting rooms are also available at the university. Rooms are assigned according to term dates, which are typically 38 weeks for undergraduates and 52 weeks for postgraduates.
Rent can be paid in instalments by students.

The average monthly rent is between 600 and 800 pounds.
Studio apartments, three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom apartments, and communal apartments are among the residential types.
These contemporary apartments have 24-hour security, a bike storage area, study rooms, a laundry facility, and a private courtyard.
