Students must show evidence of the following to be admitted to the Master of Public Relations programme:
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, public relations, communication, or a similar discipline (four years).
• A 3.0 (B) GPA in the last two years of undergraduate education is required.
• Two recommendation letters (one academic and one professional).
Students interested in learning more about Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) for admission should refer to section 2.1.8 of the MSVU Graduate Academic Calendar.
If a student has not attended a post-secondary institution for at least three years, a second professional letter of recommendation may be substituted for the academic letter of recommendation. In addition, if a student has not held relevant job but has recently attended a post-secondary institution, a second academic letter of recommendation can be submitted in place of a professional letter of recommendation.
Students must have completed the following courses in order to be admitted to the Master of Arts in Communication programme:
A four-year bachelor's degree in a communication-related discipline (e.g., public relations, communication studies, journalism, marketing communication) with a B average (GPA 3.0) in the final two years of study.
For all students, MSVU has three furnished residence halls on campus: Assisi Hall, The Birches, and Westwood. Students will tell you that living on campus is one of the best ways to become more active in campus life, aside from the convenience of being close to courses, labs, the cafeteria, library, gym, and other amenities. We recommend that you learn more about your housing alternatives.

I attended the University of Illinois with a range of interests. My time there was great because while I had to take courses that were not my strong points, it was also one of the most diverse communities and most socially accepting university on campus. A friend recommended Mount Saint Vincent University and I went on a date with him after going there.

Mount Saint Vincent University has an excellent academic program. The classes are well equipped and the multiple choice exams are very rewarding.

But the best thing about VSU is that it's not a "DI" school. A lot of people are originally from Canada and other countries/states, but they all share an interest in the same things. You can find friends of all races, colors and creeds to be friends with. The dorms are nice and clean and the professors often take time to explain.
