  • Incorporated in 2002, California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) is a public university and the youngest one in the CSU family. The Accrediting Commission accredits it for Senior Colleges and Universities of the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges). 
  • This institute provides various kinds of student housing on campus. The four major housing village types include Santa Cruz Village, Town Centre, Santa Rosa Village, and Anacapa Village. Santa Cruz village offers a housing facility to upper-division students. Santa Rosa Village is for freshmen and second-year students. Town Centre and Anacapa village are majorly meant for junior and senior international students. 
  • The various fields in which students can opt to pursue a major or minor at CSUCI include Applied Physics, Biology, Art, Anthropology, Chemistry, Communication, Early Childhood Studies, Global Studies, Liberal Studies, Mathematics, etc. CSUCI has a 22:1 student-to-faculty ratio and an admission rate of 84%. For safety and security, CSUCI has an on-campus CI Police Department. The Disability Service Section caters to 6% of disabled individuals at this Campus. This campus also boasts of an active Student Veterans Group. This institute is also known to offer financial aid to 83% of its students. 
  • In the Social Mobility Index 2020, CollegeNET ranked California State University Channel Islands 20th out of 1449 universities in this nation. California State University extends several scholarships, and international students can apply for several outside international scholarships to finance their studies in the United States.
