University of Alabama needs you to have a 3.71 GPA and be above average in your high school class. At the very least, you'll need a mix of A's and B's, with more A's than B's. You can make up for a low GPA by taking more difficult classes, such as AP or IB. This demonstrates that you can handle more challenging academics than the ordinary high school student.
If you're a junior or senior, changing your GPA in time for college applications is difficult. You'll need a better SAT or ACT score to compensate if your GPA is at or below the school average of 3.71. This will enable you to effectively compete against applicants with greater GPAs than you.
Many colleges claim that they do not have a SAT score cutoff, but the truth is that they do. This is based on the average score for the school.
The New SAT score for the 25th percentile is 1060, and the New SAT score for the 75th percentile is 1280. To put it another way, a 1060 on the New SAT puts you below average, and a 1280 puts you over average.

The campus at Alabama has definitely made me feel like I've stepped into a parallel universe. It's truly one of the most exciting places to be in the world! My degree from the University of Alabama has provided some of my best summers and paid off on many levels.

The University of Alabama is a great place to do business and grow. The faculty I've had the pleasure of working with have been very supportive, helpful, and friendly. They are also extremely focused on their goals and the opportunities they are providing. I have loved my time at UAB and would recommend visiting it to anyone looking for a great career in engineering or technology.

I'm a software engineer currently at University of Alabama and have been working with Ouch Design for the past 4 years. Aside from my experience at UA, I also have significant exposure to marketing, design, and entrepreneurship. My experience with the Ouch team has been fantastic and it makes me want to work there even more so.
