Spread across 900 acres, the campus life at UNT offers 15 residence halls for more than 5,500 students living an on-campus life. There is Bruce Hall, Clark Hall, Crumley Hall, Maple Hall, and Rawlins Hall for freshman students. There is Honors Hall and the Santa Fe Square hall for upperclassmen students. The university offers more than 300 student organizations, more than 1,000 annual performances, and an exclusive Outdoor Pursuit Center for active engagement. 

On-Campus Accommodation

An essential component of the UNT educational process is the on-campus living experience provided by UNT Housing and Residence Life. The live-in housing ambassadors are staff members whose residence hall rooms serve as models for other residents. They are eager to show you around so you can truly understand what it's like to live on campus. The university provides residence halls for students to feel comfortable and at home. The following are some residence halls:

• Bruce Hall

The university living hall with the best location is Bruce Hall, situated at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Avenue C. The Bruclelings community, a freshman living hall that houses students from many fields, has a long history of artistic expression. The oldest residence hall still in service for housing students on campus was built in 1946 and is named Bruce.

• Clark Hall

One of UNT's freshman residential halls, Clark, is situated on the corner of Maple Street and Avenue C. It offers primarily double rooms with a small number of triple spaces. The Engineering Living Learning Community resides at Clark Hall.

Clark is a well-liked neighbourhood for locals to interact and hang out because of the nearby Clark Park.

• Crumley Hall

Crumley Hall, one of UNT's residence halls, is situated at the intersection of Highland Street and Avenue C. It will predominantly house first-year students in 2022–2023 and host the Latin Dreams housing cohort.

Crumley has a tight-knit community because of its small size. Crumley is particularly alluring due to its proximity to the Onstead Promenade and Willis Library, which make up the centre of campus.

• Honors Hall

Upperclassmen members of the UNT Honors College reside at Honors Hall, which is situated at the intersection of Eagle Drive and Avenue C on the southern edge of campus. Students admitted to the UNT Honors College can stay in private single-occupancy rooms through Honors. Private single occupancy rooms offer a private bedroom area for each occupant in addition to a communal living area and bathroom.

Honors Hall was built with the academically-focused student in mind, with most of its residents being members of the UNT Honors College. Numerous study rooms, intimate conference spaces, two music practice rooms, activity spaces, and lounges are available in Honors.

• Joe Greene Hall

Joe Greene Hall, a 500-bed residence hall with double occupancy rooms for the majority of its occupants, who are freshmen, is situated on the southeast corner of campus at the intersection of Eagle Drive and Avenue A.

• Kerr Hall

On Maple Street lies Kerr Hall, which primarily accommodates first-year students. With more than 900 residents, Kerr is the largest residence hall at UNT.

In Kerr, three living-learning communities offer the chance to live in specialised groups that share majors or mutual interests. These communities primarily have double occupancy rooms with a small number of triples.

Kerr Hall, a central location on campus, is a lively, buzzing place where people study in groups or socialise in the lobby.

• Legends Hall

Legends Hall is situated across from the Pohl Recreation Center at North Texas Boulevard and Sycamore Street intersection.

Legends residents can live in single occupancy rooms or private single occupancy rooms with suite kitchens. This option is only available to upperclassmen residents.

• Maple Hall

One of UNT's residence halls for predominantly first-year students is Maple, which is situated at the intersection of Maple Street and Avenue C.

Mostly double occupancy and occasionally triple occupancy rooms are available at Maple.

Near the back of Maple Hall lies Mean Greens Café, the only vegan restaurant on campus. For anyone looking to eat a balanced diet that provides various health benefits, including vegans, Mean Greens offers an all-vegan cuisine.

• Mozart Square

At the juncture of Eagle Drive and North Texas Boulevard, right outside the University of North Texas' main entrance, sits Mozart Square. Residents of Mozart Square can choose private single occupancy for upper-level students or a double room for newcomers.

Women's soccer and men's and women's basketball for UNT are played at Mozart. For enhanced comfort, each room has individual settings for heating and cooling.

• Rawlins Hall

On the southern end of campus, across from the Gateway centre, Rawlins Hall may be found near the intersection of Maple Drive and Avenue D. For first-year students in the UNT Honors College and the UNT SERVES Living Learning Community, Rawlins only provides double-occupancy rooms. The potential for a classic first-year residence hall experience is offered by the double-occupancy rooms with suite-style bathrooms.

With an abundance of study rooms, intimate meeting spaces, music practice rooms, activity spaces, and lounges for residents to use throughout the building, Rawlins Hall is built with the academically-focused student in mind. Residents of Rawlins Hall benefit from a studious atmosphere thanks to its proximity to the Honors College.

• Santa Fe Square

Santa Fe Square, built with a Southwestern aesthetic in mind, is located on the west side of campus on W. Prairie Avenue. The two distinct structures are referred to as "SFT" and are next to Traditions Hall.

• Traditions Hall

Traditions Hall is at the juncture of North Texas Boulevard and West Prairie Street. Traditions Hall contains single, mainly occupancy rooms with a small number of double-occupancy rooms, and it will only be open to upperclassmen residents starting in the autumn of 2019. The two distinct halls are jointly referred to as "SFT" and are situated next to Santa Fe Square.

• Victory Hall

On South Bonnie Brae, across from Apogee Stadium and the main campus of UNT, Victory Hall is situated. Victory offers a combination of single occupancy rooms for upper-level students and double occupancy rooms for newcomers. A few of the UNT varsity sports teams also call Victory home.

Champs Café, Apogee Stadium, the Athletic Center, and Mean Green Village, including the Athletic Academic Center, the Mean Green softball field, and the Warranch Tennis Complex, all share space with Victory.

• West Hall

Most first-year students are in the north and south towers of West Hall, which is situated at the intersection of North Texas Boulevard and Chestnut Street. West inhabitants are recognised for having an abundance of hall pride.

Offering double and triple rooms, tenants at West enjoy large living spaces with lofted beds. The big lobby with a pool table, ping pong and TV is a favourite hangout. West Hall also features an on-site eating hall.
