Students must complete the major requirements as well as the All-University Core Curriculum in order to graduate. A major is a set of courses in a subject area or discipline that, when combined with the necessary supporting courses, leads to a degree. A major requires a minimum of 27 semester credits. The completion of a major appears on the student's diploma as well as their academic record (transcript). Students might choose to fulfil the criteria for two or more majors at the same time. Students must complete all prerequisites for each degree in order to graduate with more than one major (some majors will accept, as fulfilling their own category 4A-C requirements, the fulfilment of the category 4A-C requirements in another declared major the student completes).

Common requirements may count toward each major's curricular requirements, but each major must have at least 27 distinct credits. Check out the criteria for multiple degrees as well.
